Sam Hormusji Framji Jamshedji Manekshaw was born in a Parsi family in Amritsar in 1914. One of the finest military commanders of the nation, Sam became India’s first Field Marshal in 1973, attaining the highest rank in the Army. The rank was conferred upon him after his vital role as the Army Chief during the Bangladesh War operations in 1971. In the course of the film, he travels back in time, over his rich and unique life, with his grandson Jehan, making the past come alive.

At the exhibition held in Delhi on April 3rd, Field Marshal Mankeshaw inspects the display of his photographs by PARZOR

A donation of Rs. 350 to the Parzor Foundation, along with the postal/courier charges from Delhi as per actuals, will enable you to become the proud possessor of a VCD copy of the film. By owning this film you will have in your home a record of a very exciting part of history. The film contains rare archival footage of World War II and the creation of Bangladesh. It also sensitively portrays why and how Sam became and remains India's greatest and best loved soldier. It is a human-interest film rather than a dry documentation of facts.

Parzor Foundation is a Registered Body under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860. All donations to the Parzor Foundation are eligible for Tax Exemption under Sec. 80G & 12A of the Indian Income Tax Act. The Parzor Foundation is a non-profit organization.
